What to Expect During Your First Visit
While many people grow up going to the dentist regularly, that isn’t everyone’s experience. Regardless of your personal history the information below should be helpful!
Before the Visit
When someone calls to schedule an appointment for the first time, they’ll be invited to download and fill out our patient intake form to collect important information Dr. Baek will need regarding their medical history. This is important because,like any other doctor, Dr. Baek will want to know if there have been any issues in the past with your physical or oral health that may impact how she treats you.
During Your Visit
The exact schedule of a dental visit may vary based on the nature of the visit, a typical checkup will start with you being checked in and then called back and seated in one of our dental chairs. One of our assistants will take initial x-rays and ask about any concerns you may have or discomfort you are experiencing.
Dr. Baek will then consult with you and perform a more thorough examination including checking for cavities or other problems.
After examining your teeth, your gum line and inspecting your x-rays, Dr. Baek will discuss her findings and recommendations for addressing any immediate oral health concerns and creating a plan for your long term oral health.
